What is it?

Lab Time Share ? provides start up and early stage Bioscience businesses with quick and easy access to high quality laboratories and staff at low cost.

How does it work?

The business commits to a guaranteed minimum level of work (typically between £20k - £80k pa) over a fixed period, and commits to a set program of payments.

In return, Agenda1 charge for access to all equipment and services at a single man hour rate and with an agreed level of priority. In effect the Agenda1 labs and staff become "the lab" of the start up business on a day to day basis.

The business is provided with a comprehensive description of the very wide range of services on offer, and using a spreadsheet template requests the work to be done. This request generates a "time invoice" showing how much time will be charged for the work. This spreadsheet evolves with the client over time to reflect precisely their requirements.

Hit the ground running - From day one the start up business has access to a wide range of qualified equipment and staff backed up by time proven quality systems.

Concentrate cash on the idea - With no need to set up labs, buy routine (and non routine) equipment, identify lab staff etc etc, the new Bioscience business can focus its efforts and cash on the reason the business was set up in the first place.

Benefit from our experience - The Agenda1 team have developed new products for the pharmaceutical and other industries. Whilst providing high class analytical support we can also provide guidance and apply that experience to the client programs.

Invest in strategic strengths - By using Agenda1 for the non-strategically important aspects of the technology development, cash can be focussed on establishing the valuing adding systems and technologies, not the value destroyers.

Big Promises - but can they be delivered?

Agenda1 are committed to limiting the number of clients using this facility to a level that can be properly accommodated. The total number on the program at any one time is unlikely to be more than 4. However the "owner" of the lab timeshare option could be a Start up Business, a Venture Capital business or other investor. In the latter cases the VC or other investor can provide this facility for a number of businesses they are supporting, all at a single price and with very simple paperwork.
