Candidate Personality Test
About the profiling approach
Candidates are invited to complete an online profile questionnaire that helps identify the candidates approach to work, and how likely they are to fit into a particular role and culture. Whilst personality profiling alone cannot be used for candidate selection, it does provide a useful indicator.
The profile indicates personality preferences in terms of:
- Being 'person' focused vs being 'task' focused
- Being the kind of person who motivates others well, or who needs motivating
Why profile candidates?
Whilst a CV gives a reasonable indication of a candidates experience and academic achievement it cannot provide any indication of the 'real person' behind the CV. Personality profiling helps recruitment consultants and recruiters asses how well a candidate is likely to fit into a particular role and culture.
Profile results
Recruiters are provided with a graphical representation of the candidates profile, showing preferences against the four measures of ‘Task focused’, ‘Person focused’, 'Pull score’, ‘Push score’. A commentary is also provided to help recruiters interpret the graph.
